Pi Nu Epsilon was founded in November, 1914, by the Home Economics Department as a club for women and was sponsored by the men's fraternity, Theta Gamma.
We were formally recognized by SUNY Canton (then the State School of Agriculture) in 1918 and became the first sorority on campus.
There are several different chapters of Pi Nu Epsilon.
Alpha chapter is in Canton since 1914.
Beta chapter in Alfred since 1953.
Gamma chapter in Delhi since 1958.
Delta chapter is in Ottawa, Canada since 2002.
As a Sorority, we will cultivate a true spirit of friendship, demonstrate true leadership, maintain a high scholastic standing, cooperate in student activites and render any service to the school and the community.
we will maintain in everything we do to the highest sense of honor and duty.
